The Next Megan Fox? We're Still Waiting ...

It seems like every other week we're promised that the newest, hottest, latest raven-haired beauty in town will take reign as the 'new Megan Fox.' The sultry, tattoo loving bad girl seemed to have cornered an unspoken niche right out of the gate. Her sex speaking pout and car mechanic (really?) 'Transformers' character immediately made her leader of the pack -- a spot every girl with a great face and an even better body was vying for.

Men drool at the very drop of the 25-year-old's name and women mock her salacious sex appeal while secretly clicking through Megan Fox makeup tutorial videos on YouTube. But when it comes down to brass tacks, the girl is only known for one franchise, 'Transformers' -- and not even a complete one at that. Her sharp tongue got her fired from the series after just two films after she referred to director, Michael Bay as "Hitler."

Since her big splash in the summer blockbuster circuit in 2007, she's made an even bigger splash on her way out of it, becoming the actress who can't seem to keep her mouth shut. Seeminly every week the media musters their picks for 'the next Megan Fox,' hoping that one of the 'new girls' will have what it takes to boost Fox from her throne -- and we've got to say, the girl's got a hell of a grip.

The latest contender? Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who (no stretch here) is stepping into Fox's shoes in the latest installment of 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon.' Although the former Victoria's Secret model doesn't share Fox's dark locks, she's giving her predecessor a run for her money when it comes to making jaws drop on the red carpet. The only difference? Huntington-Whiteley is totally charming. No too cool for school squinted eye stares here, Megan Fox 2.0 seems to have what it takes to steal the cake.

But still, we're not holding our breath. Back in 2007 when American first caught glimpse of Fox, greased down and sexed up for the Autobot world, rumblings that she was the next Angelina Jolie began to circulate -- a prophesy that has yet to come to fruition. Like it or not, Fox has (somehow) created an indelible niche for herself and doesn't seem to be going anywhere. So, cable television, ready your hand on the bleep button; directors, if you're going to dish it learn to take it and Fox wannabes, get in line. This hot locomotive is going nowhere fast.

Megan Fox on what affects her: “My 8-year-old stepson tells me I’m beautiful”

For some reason, Megan Fox has been getting a lot of commenter sympathy lately. It’s not universal – there are still people (me) who think Megan is dumb as a box of hair, to the point where her stupidity and unprofessionalism is actually offensive. And yet so many are holding her up like she’s our newest feminist icon, like Megan and Susan B. Anthony share the same vision of female empowerment. I don’t really get it – Megan’s version of feminism is basically “I get told that I’m amazing all the time, I get to say whatever I want and act like a spoiled, unprofessional brat, and magically I’m the next big movie star.” Well, that didn’t work out for Megan, did it? And she’s still the casting equivalent of Typhoid Mary. BUT! She’s still a “model”.

So today’s Megan Fox news is about her neverending Armani modeling contract. I think she’s the face of Armani… jeans? Makeup? Underwear? I think it’s everything at this point. Whenever you think “Armani” you think “Megan Fox’s Latest (Down-Market) Face.” I doubt this is what Armani had in mind, but that’s what they’ve got. So, Armani released a new “interview” Megan did, and the gist of it is “Megan Fox is beautiful.” Sorry if that’s a spoiler. You shouldn’t watch this video if Megan’s voice drives you up the wall:

OMG, she just learned the word “iconic.” She says it like it’s new to her. GOD, her voice. It’s like a version of Paris Hilton’s baby-stripper voice. Other than that, I got nothing. I look forward to the day when we stop pretending that Megan is important, and she can fulfill her promise as an actress by starring in music videos. That Eminem video should have been her career peak.
