Natalie Portman Reveals Baby's Name

Actress Natalie Portman and beau Benjamin Millepied recently welcomed a baby boy and have named him Aleph, according to People. His name is from the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet.

An Israeli TV Show, "Good Evening with Guy Pines," speculates that Portman, born in Israel, wanted to pay homage to her native country by choosing such a name.

Aleph is also the number one in Hebrew and can be spelled, "alef." Its meaning in Judaic Kabbalah relates to the origin of the universe, the "primordial one that contains all numbers."

Portman gave birth last month and has said she plans to take a break from Hollywood in order to enjoy motherhood.

Pink Reveals Meaning Behind Baby Willow's Name

What's in a name? Pink and husband Carey Hart welcomed daughter Willow Sage Hart into the world last month, and the singer revealed their reasoning behind her unusual name and how the new family is adjusting to their brand new baby.

"The willow is my favorite tree. I grew up near one. It's the most flexible tree in nature and nothing can break it - no wind, no elements," Pink told PEOPLE about the nature-inspired name for her little girl. "It can bend and withstand anything. I love that sentiment. I want that for her."

Her middle name also has a special meaning -- but Pink said it also just sounded cool.

"Sage is cleansing and sacred," she said. "And it sounded great together. It doesn't hurt that her last name is Hart -- flexible cleansed heart."

Though all is well with the happy family now, Willow gave her parents a hard time during her June 2 birth -- something that doesn't surprise the singer one bit.

And now Pink and Hart are adjusting to life as all new parents do, but the singer said it's not as bad as some people make it seem.

"[Willow's] been amazing. Everyone gives you this terrifying picture of no sleep at all, bickering which leads to divorce ... they made it sound like waterboarding," she said of parenthood. "It's not that bad! I think I've cried more than she has and that's just because I'm emotional and a little nuts."

"My life was once whiskey, tears, and cigarettes ... now it's snot, tears, and the color of poop. #bliss," the singer Tweeted when Willow was just two weeks old. "I do miss the whiskey though."

"yeah!!!!!!!! up all night!!!! reliving my past... i've just replaced techno music with ocean sounds- glow sticks with night lights," she wrote on June 28, clearly up with baby Willow.

"ok, I'm spent. little girl is hungry. time for a milkshake. :) that just means i dance while she's nursing," the new mom also wrote on June 30.

Madonna Reveals Plans to Open an Orphanage in Malawi

Singer Madonna has revealed her plans to open an orphanage in Malawi.

E! Online is reporting that the 52-year-old superstar revealed the news in her interview in 'American Revolutionaries: The Hitmakers,' a docu-series which focuses on some of pop music's most influential artists.

Madonna said, "My short term goals are to build an orphan care center that will service and reach at least 1,000 children and I'm also actively involved in funding several orphanages that already exist."

The pop star previously created a charity and tried to build a $15 million school in Malawi, to educate approximately 400 girls, but unfortunately the plans collapsed in March.

Justin Bieber dropped by the Ed Sullivan theater to help with David Letterman's Top 10 list on 'Late Show,' considering it was all about him. The topic was Top 10 Little Kown Facts about Justin Bieber, and the Bieb clearly had a blast pokin fun at his image.

We particularly loved the little turn of the head and smile he gave after delivering #7 on the list: "As hard as I've tried, I don't know how to not be adorable."

#5 had a great sight gag as well. After Bieber said, "I'm not really a big fan of Kevin James," the camera cut to James in the green room and he did a great sad sack expression.

'Glee' Star Cory Monteith Reveals Past Drug Use

Actor Cory Monteith, who plays the wholesome football captain Finn Hudson on the hit FOX show "Glee," gave a candid interview to Parade Magazine, in which he revealed his recovery from a serious drug problem.

"I'm lucky on so many counts - I'm lucky to be alive," Monteith, 29, told Parade.

The actor said his spiral downward began when he was 13, living in British Columbia. By age 16, he says, "I was out of control," doing all kinds of drugs. "Anything and everything... as much as possible. I had a serious problem."

His friends and family staged an intervention and Monteith did a stint in rehab, but it didn't work. It was only after he was caught stealing money from a family member that Monteith decided he had to make a change.

"I was done fighting myself. I finally said, 'I'm gonna start looking at my life and figure out why I'm doing this'."

He added, "I don't want kids to think it's okay to drop out of school and get high, and they'll be famous actors, too... but for those people who might give up: Get real about what you want and go after it."
