"He should pick on someone his own size," Debbie tells me, joking about the diminutive Moby. "First of all, for any artist to slam any artist, I think is wrong, because art is subjective, you know? I can look at a painting and think it's the most beautiful thing and someone else can go, 'It looks like a 3-year-old made that!'"
Debbie who is about to hit the road with ex-rival Tiffany admires artists like Britney and even thinks it was probably a good decision on her part to be so sexual-ized at such an early age.
"There's something that's a little smart that they come out as sexual creatures at 15, because they don't ever have that awkward transition," Deb explains. "I'll never forget ... I got hate mail because I wore black in a video. But people wanted to keep me in bright colors and denim my entire life."
You can get tickets to see Debbie and Tiffany at Deborah-Gibson.com and if you go, expect to hear their hits as well as songs that inspired them when they were both conquering the charts.
Debbie even wanted to send a personal invite to Moby himself. "Moby, come to the show because I guarantee that you have never seen me live and you don't really know what I do. So come to the show and let me know what you think."
For my complete interview with Debbie (as well as Steve-O, see below clip), tune into 'Naughty But Nice' exclusively on HDNet at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday.
